Craig and i went to the cinema and saw My Bloody Valentine 3D. This film was amazing, it was the 1st film i had seen in 3D, we had to wear the 3D glasses, these made us feel like we were in the actual film, everyone was ducking and diving in the cinema whenever bullets were shot towards us and jaws flying, even little things like the torch shining into the cinema, the film just had the wow factor . This made the audience interact with the film rather than just sitting and watching the film. The audience felt apart of the film.

Point of View

POV stands for point of view; this is a shot or angle the camera uses to make the audience interact with the media which they are viewing orparticipating in. This makes the audience feel like they are the character as they get to see exactly what the game/film/book character can see. There are several different types of points of views, they are Omniscient POV, Limited third-person and first person.

Omniscient POV

A method of storytelling in which the narrator knows the thoughts and feelings of all of the characters in the story, as opposed to third person limited, which adheres closely to one character’s perspective.

Limited third-person POV

Third person limited point of view is a method of storytelling in which the narrator knows only the thoughts and feelings of a single character, while other characters are presented externally. Third person grants a writer more freedom than first person, but less than third person omniscient.

First person/First person plural

A point of view in which an “I” or “we” serves as the narrator of a piece of fiction. The narrator may be a minor character, observing the action.

After the presentation we did before Christmas i was given some ideas to improve our project.

The idea i have decided to go with was:

People will not know the story of how he got into prison, so i am going to show how he was wrongly convicted of murder. This will give this project a storyline to it and make the story interesting.

The characters of this story will be bears, this make the story comical and humorous

The first week back Mez gave us all individual feedback. 

The feedback i got was: 

• Its the way i am able to use Flash and Photoshop together.
• Keep the bears as its unique and adds comical value to the project
• My ideas and narrative story was great
• I need to concentrate on my final storyboards even if my project just change slightly
• Give more detail in workbook and blog about audio/visual input
• Find what videos i can use on my project (free clips on BBC royalty website) 

Overall good effort so far and to keep up the hard work

i think the presentation went well as it was just a casual presentation to show ideas and for the rest of the class to put some input in to improve my idea.

In the presentation the class gave me some input, some were good ideas but some ideas wasn’t the way i wanted to take this project.  The ideas i did like, i wrote down and will think about them over christmas.

I have decided to go with the prison break idea, this is so i can make the user decide which ways to go to break out of prison. My character will be in prison for a crime he did not commit, the character is called Baldrick and he will try to break out of prison by choosing different options to find an escape route.

The interactive game will start in a prison cell looking out of the barred up window, the user will need to find the loose bar and click to escape out of the window, Baldrick will then slide down a rope to reach the floor. Once he has reached the floor the user will have to choose which door to go through, the user has the choice of two doors. one door will go to the laundry room whilst the other door will lead to the Guards quarters. the user will have to make the decision before the huge pigeon attacks baldrick.
